Mary Rowland

Mary Jeannine Rowland lifelong resident of Jacksonville, passed away on March 11th. She was born on October 1,1933 and graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1951, and St. Vincent’s Nursing School in 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilma & Forrest Pfeiffer, husband, Gerald L. Rowland and her brother Forest James “Buddy” Pfeiffer Jr. She is survived by her sister, Wilma Norse; and her children: Laura Faux (Jeff), Kevin Rowland (Lori), Jennifer Browning (Rick), and Therese Stamitoles (Mitch). She was the adored grandmother to Meghan Wright (James), Bryan Faux, Sean Poole and Matthew Faux. She will be remembered by her patients and their families for her 40 years in caring service as their nurse.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 13th from 5:30-7:00 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 14th in the St. Joesph’s Historical Church followed by interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
