Mary Helen Johnson Peacock affectionately known to her family as Mom, Mama, Nanny P and Nana went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2024. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ben. She is survived by her children Melody (Woody), David (Drena) and Paul (Tonya). Helen loved her seven grandchildren, fourteen great grand children and five great-great grandchildren. Her beautiful life was a testament to unwavering faith, boundless love, and an unshakeable spirit that touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Helen served the Lord with a devotion that was both inspiring and steadfast. Her love for Jesus was the cornerstone of her existence guiding her through every season of life. Ben and Helen faithfully served in ministry for 43 years in the pastorate and then in evangelism. Helen's greatest joy was telling others about the good news of Jesus
Helen was a delight. Her presence brought warmth and light, her smile was infectious, and her kind spirit was felt. She faced life's challenges with grace and an unyielding faith that inspired us all to be better, to love more deeply and to live with joy.
As we say goodbye to her, we do so with heavy hearts but also with profound gratitude for the legacy she leaves behind. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of faith, love, and joy -- a tapestry that will continue to inspire and guide us. While we will miss her dearly, we find comfort in knowing that she is now with her beloved Ben, singing with the angels, and basking in the eternal love of Jesus.
