On December 28, 2011, Marie Reagan passed away surrounded by her loving family. She will be dearly missed in so many ways. The encouragement and care she gave so many people, especially her family, was so unique in the sense that she made each individual feel so special. Each one felt her love and care directly with their heart and soul. She loved her grandkids more than life itself. Each one had their own connection with her.
She was totally devoted to her Buddhist practice form the day she joined on September 9, 1965. Taking care of the members and raising many capable people during her life time of practice. She was one of the original pioneers in the Jacksonville area in her mission for world peace.
Physically Marie was 4 foot 7 inches tall and 100 pounds but she had the strength and determination of a grizzly bear. When she was determined to accomplish something, you knew it was going to be done “no matter what.” Her respect for President Ikeda, her mentor, was unfathable in her efforts to accomphlish her goals. The example she set for her family and members around her in doing her practice, was constant encouragement to keep moving forward in our human revolution and not to ever give up.
Now Marie is starting the next chapter in her life of happiness. May we all have the great fortune in life that she experienced.
Arrangements under the direction of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Jacksonville, FL.
