Marie Farley, 62, longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. A teacher’s Assistant, she worked for over twenty years in the Duval School System. An avid gardener, her flowers were the envy of the neighborhood.
Marie was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Clark, her father, George Davis, step-father, John Yacovella and one brother, Leo Davis.
Surviving are her loving husband, Frederick Farley, children, Frederick Farley III and Laura Farley, grand-children, Hannah, Taylor and Hunter Orem, her mother, Josephine Yacovella, sisters, Margaret , Georgetta, Dodie, Ann, brothers, George, Tom and Joseph and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 8, from 3 - 5 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL. A Celebration of Her Life will be at 11:00 am Monday, May 9 in the chapel at the funeral home. Rev. Rick Crook will officiate.
Memorials in her name may be directed to the American Heart Association.
