Lorene Davis, age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior November 13, 2014, in Jacksonville, FL. Lorene was born November 26, 1931 in Daleville, Alabama to Ollie and Ruth (Martin) Marchman. She was a member of Jones Road Baptist Church. She was no stranger to hard work and enjoyed spending her time gardening, cooking, baking, canning, sewing, arranging flowers, and mostly spending time with her family. Lorene will be missed dearly by her sons Charles Davis (Maggie) and Kim Davis (Shirley); brother Wayne Marchman (Carolyn); sister Shirley Benefield; grandchildren Aaron (Brittany), Austin, Anthony, Jackson, Bennett, Chris (Brandy), Lori (Gregg), David; and seven great grandchildren. She has been reunited with her husband Norris Davis and beloved son Jimmy Davis. Family will receive friends and family 1:30 – 2:30 pm Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Jones Road Baptist Church, 2506 Jones Road, Jacksonville, FL 32220. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:30 pm at the church. Interment will follow the services at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
