Linda Sue Waters

Linda graduated from Ed White High School in 1973. She went on and became a CNA, working at Methodist Hospital for 17 years. She continued working at the Fouraker Hills Rehab and Nursing Center on Fouraker Road for many years.

In 1989, Linda married Archie Glenn Waters and they had a daughter together, Deanna. Linda had four step-children, Richard, James, William (now deceased) and Belinda.

In 2014, Linda retired, spending more time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Glenn Waters in 2013 and her step-son, William Waters in 1997.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Waters; step-children, Richard, James and Belinda; grandchildren, Destiney and Cody; great-grandchildren, Colton, Madalyn, and Liam; and her step-grandchildren, Richard, Hailey, William “Bubba”, Brennan, Katie and Brenton.

Linda was one of eleven children; ten of them have preceded her in death. She has one sister surviving, Diane.

Linda was known as NaNa to many. Some she raised and many knew they always had a safe place to come to, Cassie, Lance, Thomas, Heather, Stephen, Annie and Sierra. They always came to see NaNa. Her door was always open to anyone who needed to stay. Linda loved all of her Family.

A graveside service for Linda will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, followed by a visitation from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
