COLEMAN Leslie Ralston Coleman danced out of this world on October 18, 2015 at Northeast Florida Community Hospice. She was born in Jacksonville in 1953, attended Wesleyan College, and graduated with a degree in accounting. Her and her husband Larry were high school sweethearts and the love of each other's lives.
She is also survived by two cherished sons, Greg and Scott, their wives Jenn and Karen, and five grandchildren, Garrett, Isabelle, Wyatt, Georgia Grace, and William.
She passed after a lengthy battle with illness. Her suffering became her mission field. Most who came to encourage her often left feeling like she had ministered to them. She understood that her affliction was the Lord's call. Blessed be the God who comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. She once wrote in her devotional, If you don't like the way you were born, try it again! Acknowledging that we all have new birth and forgiveness in Christ. She loved flowers, so send them. She loved dancing, so put on the Beatles, dance and celebrate. Pain is over, love has won!
Funeral services will be held at Ortega United Methodist Church, 4807 Roosevelt Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32210, on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 2pm with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
