Lawrence H. Raley, 91, passed away April 10th at the Hadlow Hospice Center after a brief illness. A Jacksonville native and WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps, he resided in Green Cove Springs. He is survived by his son Michael (Patty) Raley; grandchildren, Christopher Raley and Marianne (John Blade) Raley and great-grandchildren, Kaia and Gatenby Raley-Blade.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rose and Lawrence S. Raley, and his loving wife of 69 years, Mary (M.H.).
Lawrence was a retired builder and developer. He was a past president of the Home Builder Association of Greater Jacksonville as well as a past president of the Home Builder Association of N. E. Georgia.
He was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed the North Carolina mountains and his beloved Topnot. Our wonderful Pop was full of laughter and the delight of his family. We will miss him, but he is with Nana now.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM, TODAY, Thursday April 12th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 13th in the Episcopal Church of our Saviour, 12236 Mandarin Road with The Rev. John Palarine as officiant. Interment will follow in Mandarin Cemetery.
