Katie V. White, 75, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born February 15, 1940 to Alvin and Mary (Yoder) Beachey in Arcola, Illinois. She was a member of West Jacksonville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 14 years H.L. White, and one sister Martha Yoder. Katie enjoyed NASCAR racing, caring for others, playing Bunko, but was well known for her annual Peanut Boil. She will be missed dearly by her sons Harold White(Lisa), Gary White (Jennifer), and Terry White (Bridgett); brothers Lewis Beachey (Sarah), Ernie Beachey (Lil), Willie Beachey, and Sonny Beachey (Anita); four grandchildren Alyse, Andrea, Dani , and Peyton. Family will receive friends and family 10:30am – 12:00 pm Saturday February 28, 2015 at West Jacksonville Baptist Church, 5634 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm at the Church. Interment will follow the services at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to West Jacksonville Baptist Church Bus Ministry in Katie’s honor.
