Karen Elizabeth Herron

The funeral service will be held at Sunrise Community Church on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 3 p.m. Allen Cagle of Sunrise Community Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home. Internment of ashes at the National Cemetery will be arranged for future date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home.

Karen was born in Akron, Ohio, on July 1, 1946.

Karen was married to John Allen Herron on April 7, 1967; they were married 48 years.

Karen enjoyed playing piano, knitting, crocheting and plastic canvas crafts. She supported The Wounded Warrior Project and Proclaim International Missionaries and Dr. Harry T. Latham, Missionaries to Brazil.

Karen is survived by John (spouse), John (son), Peter (son) and Tita Herron (daughter-in-law), Ingrid Elias (grand-daughter), Sidney Pillow (brother), Patricia Resetar (sister), nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Karen is preceded in death by Elizabeth Pillow (mother), John Bradley (father), Sidney Pillow (step-father).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to The Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled American Veterans, Sunrise Community Church or any charity of your choice.
