Johnny Wayne Sikes, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 in Green Cove Springs. He was born November 22, 1944. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosa Sikes. He is survived by daughters Frances (Dale) Holt, Ann McAdoo, grandson Steven McAdoo and his best friend Quitman “Peanut” Williams who was always there for him. Johnny was preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by 1 sister, many nephews and nieces. After retiring from the military he started his own Tree Surgeon business and later moved to Georgia to do what he loved most; farming. Johnny was never at a loss for words (thanks to his daily crossword puzzles) and had a heart of gold. He will be truly missed. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10:30am in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Interment will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 at 12:30pm.
