John Edwin Hunter, age 87, of Kingsland, GA passed away. He was born again and went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Mr. Hunter was born on May 4, 1937 in Scobey, Montana to the late Robert Edwin and Beatrice Phyllis Rowe Hunter. He married his wife Marilyn Diane Race-Hunter. He joined the Navy-USN (RET) in 1967 and became an electrician, retiring after 20 years. He then was employed at the shipyard as an electrician equipment repairman.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sister, Janace Turner-Hunter of Alaska; and three sons, Robert Hunter of South Carolina, Duane Lee Hunter of Australia and Ronald Hunter of Kingsland, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the Family requests donation be made to Friendship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 566, Kingsland, Georgia 31548.
