John Giordano, age 74, of Saint Johns, Florida, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024. He is survived by his loving husband of 24 years, Ken Weintraub, and his many wonderful close friends and family.
John retired after holding an extended position with the City of New York as Commissioner of Purchasing. His early career path included teaching in a Montessori school and teaching children with severe and multiple disabilities.
A long-time Unitarian Universalist, John enjoyed studying theology and exploring life and its meaning. He loved music of all kinds and had an extensive collection of recordings. He also played several musical instruments and could always be found listening and sharing his eclectic mix with friends. John loved to travel and had many opportunities to visit destinations worldwide throughout his life.
John is greatly missed by his beloved husband, family, friends, and much-loved canine companions Remy and Champs. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
