John attended Mandarin Oaks Elementary, Mandarin Middle, and graduated from Atlantic Coast High School in 2015. He completed his education at Alden Road Exceptional Student Education Center this past May.
John loved his family, friends, watching sports and playing baseball with the Miracle League. He was a huge fan of the Jaguars and attended many games over the years. John made friends everywhere he went. His smile and infectious laugh filled every room he was in. He loved meeting people and making new friends. And once John spoke to someone for a few minutes, he considered them a friend. John said “hands down Disney World” was his favorite place to go. He loved Mickey Mouse and the magic of Disney. The family visited Disney World often and enjoyed several Disney cruises. Dreams Come True of Jacksonville gifted John one of the cruises. He blessed everyone he met with his love, personality and incredible sense of humor. The world is a better place having had John in it.
John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents (Edward & Katherine McGrath). He is survived by his parents Wayne and Karen and his sister Katy, his paternal grandparents (Tom & Dianne Copeman), aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 27th at 6 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Dreams Come True of Jacksonville in memory of John Copeman. www.dreamscometrue.org
