On behalf of the entire Redden and Hale family, we extend our deepest condolences to the Burger family on the passing of John. He was a unique, kind and wonderful gentleman — his legacy will continue to live on in his children and grandchildren. The special, long-term relationship he had with my grandparents, Jake and Edith Redden, will always be remembered with fondness and joy.

The visits were short but the memories remain. He always made you feel you were part of his family no matter who you were.  We will miss the hugs, the smile, the genuine joy in his friendship.  Those who knew him were blessed indeed.  He will be missed.

How do you say "good-bye" to someone you've loved so long? You've been my "life" and my "best friend" for 14 years-now you are gone.  I've loved you for so many reasons-you made me laugh and smile so often! You always brought out the best in me and I am so grateful for the wonderful memories.  These have been the best years of my life!  Everyone that knew you loved you-especially your many, many friends and family.  Life will never be the same for any of us. Fortunately you left us a " carbon copy" of you in your son.  There will never be another John Burger and I know you loved me but I always loved you more... Lynne

Pop, You are missed dearly, your smile and the way you always made people feel so loved.  I was so blessed to become part of your family, you welcomed me with loving arms.  I love and miss you.
