Jessica Ryan Loeung

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jessica Carroll Ryan Loeung, a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend. She entered into heaven on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the age of 43, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories.

Jessica is the daughter of Donna & Jay Grife and Mike Ryan, born on November 3, 1980 in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in 1999 and remained in the Jacksonville area near family. Jessica married her husband, Poy Loeung on February 7, 2009 in Saint Augustine, Florida.

Jessica loved her family deeply, cherishing every moment with them. Jessica was a devoted Mom, a title she wore with pride and held dear to her heart. Her two sons, Silas and Lachlan Loeung, ages 8 and 4, filled her days with immeasurable joy.

Jessica was predeceased by her: uncle, Chuck Ryan; aunt, Vicki Ryan; and brother-in-law, Chrach Loeung.

Jessica’s memory will live on in the hearts of her: mother, Donna; dads; Jay and Mike; sister, Chelsey Grife; grandparents, Don and Wynell Morris; husband, Poy; sons, Silas and Lachlan; parents-in-law, Chroch Loeung and Yang Sen; sisters-in-law, Thea Loeung and Thy Geisler (Dan); uncle, Craig Morris; cousins, Jeff Ryan (Candi), Kerri Merrill (Eric), Ryan Bernstein (Kelli), Donnie Morris, Jake Durham, Olivia Garvie (Ben); as well a host of extended family and friends. A special thank you to Aunts Stacy Durham (Steve), Laurie Morris, and Nina Bernstein (Artie) who stood as pillars of strength and support throughout this difficult time.

Our sweet Jessa is gone too soon. Our hearts are broken, and our souls are shattered. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, she is loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 12:30 PM. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM followed by a reception. All gatherings will take place at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, 4801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32207.

Rest in peace, dear Jessa. You will be forever missed and eternally cherished.
