I am truly saddened by the news of Coach's passing. He always gave such great advice about life to us at BCHS (c/o '93), sometimes whether we knew it or not at the time.
My Thoughts & Prayers to his & children as the go through this time...

Saddened by our loss.  Coach Henderson was my English teacher at BCHS and my cross country coach.  He was a competitor but spoke purposefully and rarely but when he did it was time to listen.  Too young but only the good...

Dear Jane, David, and Carter,
         I am saddened to hear of Dad's passing and the fact that I could not speak with yinz in person yesterday or today.   But I am happy to have had the pleasure of knowing and coaching against him.   A real sportsman and gentleman that always had a smile for all.   My fondest memory of him was meeting him daily after running David and Carter through the paces of the Runnin'Rams  Basketball Camp one summer.    He brought joy to my life each day that week and that's the greatest gift anyone could ask for.   Thank you Coach.  Here's hoping our paths cross again.   And I expect Dad will still have his eyes on you,  seeing all your achievements through to their end.     May peace be with you.

Jane and family, 
I am so sorry to hear of Scott’s passing.  Although I never knew him well, I remember him always having a kind and friendly smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. 

Dear Jane and family,  I was saddened to learn of Scott’s passing.  My mind is racing with recollections of valuable lessons I learned from Scottie while we were classmates at Englewood. However, the two lessons I cherish the most were what it takes to be a leader and what a friend is.  I can truly say and pin point Scott Henderson as being one of the biggest influences that molded my life. I am sorry I will not be able to make the service , please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences.

Coach Henderson,  was my  English teacher in 1976.  He was always humble  and kind.  My condolences to  his family.

Coach Henderson was an incredible coach,  and educator. I was a cheerleader for his basketball games, win or lose our players showed pride, heart and sportsmanship . The level of respect was earned, and the character he built with his players each season , pure life lessons.
 I had the wonderful opportunity to also teach at BCHS with Coach. His wit and wisdom lit up a room, and you always knew he was speaking from the heart. For his retirement I painted him a surfboard, he was speechless, and thanked me. He never wanted any big to-dos over his retirement  but he sure deserved them. God Bless and Keep Coach, always. 

Scott & I started teaching at BCHS around the same time.  I enjoyed Scott's love for basketball, (being a Kentucky Wildcat fan), his dry wit,  and appreciated  his honest opinions. As he moved into the position of computer expert at the school, I found myself seeing him more often because I could not fix anything that might go wrong with my computer.  Even though most of my problems were simple, he never acted like I should have been able to figure it out myself, he just quietly fixed it and we would visit a little. He was a very nice person and I will always have fond memories of him. We spoke often on how Jane & the boys were doing. My thoughts and prayers are with you now. He influence the lives of many students. 

Coach Henderson was one of my favorite teachers in high school (c/o 93).  He cared deeply for his students and players, offering both profound advice and clever one-liners without missing a beat. I am heartbroken to learn of his passing and send prayers of peace and comfort to the Henderson family and friends. Thank you for everything, Coach Henderson. 

Coach Henderson was an easy going, cool coach. I'm glad I had the opportunity to get to know him in my four years as a Baker county high school student.  He was a wiz with computers and basketball expert.  Praying for the comfort and strength of his family during this time.

Coach Henderson was my home room teacher for all four years at BCHS.  I graduated in 1978.  I think it was his first year the year I began in 1974.

 This breaks my heart.  One of the nicest most respectful men.  My prayers are for his family and friends.

Rest In Peace Mr. Henderson, may we meet again  soon.  God Bless.



I have only good memories of Coach Henderson. He was a man who wanted to see his players do well. He was versatile asset for Baker County High, teaching and coaching many student athletes. He was humble, but was strict when he had to be. I thank God for divine intervention and allowing me to cross paths with Coach. Rest easy coach, and my prayers and love to you and your family. God Bless. 

Scott was a cross country coach for me. He would even run next to us and give us the wisdom of life. Perhaps his greatest one as we would catch the fast rabbits was “Pacing is the key to life gentlemen. Pacing is the key.”  I’ve often heard his voice when I run today. 

Scott helped me learned how to play the guitar. Spent numerous hrs with him during high school. Loved cruising with him in his old 63 Barracuda. My heart felt sympathies to Jane and the family. Scott was definitely one of the "good guys".
He will be missed
