Jeannette Sheffield Kirkland, 82 of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021. Jeannette was born in Jasper, FL on August 16, 1938. Jeannette married Earl Charles Kirkland, Jr (deceased) on December. 6, 1958. Jeannette worked at Cain & Bultman in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a devoted wife (married to Charles for 59 years prior to his passing), Mom, Nana, and Aunt. She had a deep passion for reading, God’s word, a deep love for her family, singing, and gospel music. She was the youngest of 8 children and had a gift for making everyone around her feel loved.

Jeannette is survived by her 2 sons; E Keith Kirkland (Sheila), Kevin R. Kirkland (Brenda); 3 grandchildren; Kandice B. Benefield (Thomas), K. Ryan Kirkland, Rachel A Kirkland; 1 great granddaughter; Elayne Benefield.

She is survived by 1 sibling; Inez Bryant (Alan) of Jasper, FL. She is predeceased by 6 siblings; 3 brothers – Lester Sheffield, Lynn Sheffield, Mitchell Sheffield; and 3 sisters, Jessie Padgett, Maggie Wynn, and Lois McCullough.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 (904) 781-9262.

A funeral service will be conducted to celebrate Jeannette Kirkland's life at 9:30 am on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Evangel Temple Assembly of God in the Cecil Wiggins Prayer Chapel, 5755 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. The interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 (904) 781-9262.
