Jack Polliard was born in Pittsburgh, PA and raised his family in Crenshaw, PA where he was a Machinist by trade with Brockway Glass Company. He also served on active duty and in the United States Navy Reserves with 23 years of service before officially retiring to Jacksonville, FL.
He married Pauline Sicheri of Brockport PA on June 16, 1963. They were about to celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary at the time of his passing. Jack is proceeded by his parents and daughter, Jacqueline Sue Polliard (Broberg) who passed in 2009. Jack has a sister, Sue Magrini who lives in Youngstown, OH and he has two sons Jeffrey (wife Christine) and Steven (wife Bonnie) who both live in Colorado. Jack also has six grandchildren; Stephanie, Brittany, Kyle, Zachary, Rachel, and Gabrella; and four great-grandchildren.
He was a proud Navy veteran who served on the permanent crew of the USS Joseph P Kennedy Jr (DD-850) and he had several deployments onboard the USS Alfred A. Cunningham (DDG-17); USS Yellowstone (AD-27); USS Independence (CV-62); and the USS Corry (DD-817).
He will be sorely missed by his wife Pauline, family and friends.
A service with military honors is planned to be held at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 1100 with plans for future interment at the National Cemetery.
