Everett Edward Taylor AEC US Navy Retired, age 78, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. Everett was born July 24, 1936 to Raymond Ernest and Trellus Erma (Todd) Taylor in Greeley, CO. He proudly served his country and retired from the U.S. Navy and NADEP. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Daniel and great granddaughter Maddie. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon, Missouri and the Fleet Reserve. Everett was a loving family man and friend to many. He will be missed dearly by his loving wife of 59 years Melba Taylor; daughters Janice Akers (Mike) and Pamela Lively (Dale); sisters Hannah Tracy and Peggy Ford; grandchildren Jennifer, Suzanne, Eddie, Cristina, and Brianna; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of loving friends. Everett has now joined those who have gone before him. He will be forever in our hearts and memories. Until we meet again. We Love You. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, January 9, 2015 at Hardage- Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Interment will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date.
