Dwayne graduated in June of 1972, from Florida State University (FSU) with a B.S. degree in Chemistry.
He was a Retired US Navy - Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit 207. He was also a Reservist Field Medic E8 in Jacksonville, Florida. Dwayne retired as a Chemist Administrator of the Florida Department of Health.
Dwayne is survived by his wife of 19 years Aurora; and stepchildren, Erwin (Rowena), Ethel (Ariel), Elaine (Allan); children, Eric (Grace) and Cris; grandchildren, EJ, Eryka, Ervil, Matthew, Gabrielle, and Samantha.
He also leaves behind a loving family and close friends who will be inspired of his kindness, generosity and character.
A visitation for Dwayne will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with Rosary starting at 7 PM, at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Friday, May 6, 2022 from 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11665 Fort Caroline Road, Jacksonville, FL 32225. Immediately following the service, the committal service will take place at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
