Donald Eugene Hungerford, Jr., age 68, passed away July 2, 2024. Don was born on January 3, 1956 in Jacksonville, Florida to Donald Eugene Hungerford, Sr. and Florajean Blackard Hungerford. He was married to Melissa (Shinholser) Hungerford on September 12, 1987. Don worked as a supervisor with Keurig / Dr. Pepper, and was a member of Lakeside Church of Christ. Don enjoyed trips with his family and was a Georgia Bulldogs and Jacksonville Jaguars fan. Don was a loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Florajean Hungerford; and one sister, Terri Hungerford. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Melissa Hungerford; three sons Donald Hungerford (Donald, Cameron, Dante, Karina, and Joseph), Matthew Hungerford (wife Kristin and daughter Raina), and Ryan Hungerford; sisters Donna Northcut and Debbie Tinc; father-in-law Charles Shinholser; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Don will be held Friday, July 5, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Lakeside Church of Christ, 2539 Moody Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073.
