David Earl Kerr was born to Arva Lee & Earl T. Kerr on January 20, 1954 in Parma, Missouri. He is survived by his son David Griffin; one grandson; two granddaughters; his siblings Judith Benner of Lawtey, FL.,Loyd Kerr (Glenda) of Pontotoc, MS., Randy Kerr of Lawtey, FL., Lyndel Kerr (Beverly) of Lawtey, FL., and Jimmy Saddler (Marlene) of Jacksonville, FL.; aunts Yvonne Moore, Mary Sue Diamond (Howard), Sadie Brown, and Sally Kerr; 13 nieces and nephews; 22 great nieces and nephews; and 23 great-great nieces and nephews; and a multitude of cousins and probably as many friends.
After a life changing accident while driving for Toyoto, David was faced with many physical challenges which he fought to the very last breath. He continued to enjoy life. He loved to tease his family members. He was a vital part of Kerr's Auction for many years.
Family came first with David; we all felt his presence everyday. He was a vital part of what took place whether is was giving supplies to nursing homes, riding his chariot motorbike in charity events, riding in parades, and listening to his nieces or nephews or siblings or their spouses.
He was patriotic, loved old westerns, visiting with friends, and the feeling of the wind in his face on the open road, and yes, he love the Lord and knew him intimately.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32205. The family will receive friends one hour prior beginning at 2:00 p.m.
