Chris was born on January 8, 1977 in Mission Viejo, CA. He moved with his parents Suzanne and Jeff Thompson to Gulf Breeze, FL the summer of 1977.
As a child, Chris resided in many locations having been the child of a U.S. Marine Corps Major. Chris graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in Berlin, MD in 1995
and in 2004, completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business at Indiana University, Kelley School of Business.
He moved to Jacksonville, FL in 2005 where he last made his home.
Chris’ second home was the bowling Alley where he bowled several “300”games. Bowling gave Chris great joy and he loved his bowling “family”.
Chris was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Dolores Akin, Norbert and Amy Thompson and his Aunt, Janice Tague. Chris is survived by his loving mother, Suzanne Thompson of
Jacksonville, FL, father, Jeff Thompson (Carol) of Camby, IN and aunt, Kelly Akin of Jacksonville, FL. He also leaves behind his children: Adam, McKenzie, Kaylee and Katelynn Thompson.
Chris battled cancer starting as an infant, however, he had thirty cancer-free years. He had great respect for his physician, Dr. John Vu of Baptist M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Jacksonville.

A celebration of life for Chris will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00PM.
