After high school Charles joined the Army, NDSM SS badge with rifle bar, training completed: HJ/LJ MSL CRMN CRS. He married Linda Stapleton Christopher on July 12, 1969. Charles worked as a truck driver, painter/paper hanger, auctioneer, he was proud to have served his country in the Army, he was also a Mason, loved to garden, bowling, listening to country music and watching westerns with John Wayne.
Charles was part of the Baptist faith.
Charles is survived by his aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Crosby; grandson, Sean Montgomery; nephew, Chris Meeks; sister-in-law, Marsha Dowling; uncle, Ralph Christopher; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Linda Christopher; his mother Qileen Christopher Brock; and his father Willis Brock Sr.
A visitation for Charles will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 12:00 PM. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
