The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday July 9, 2015 at Town and Country Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday July 8, 2015 at Town and Country Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
Charles was born in Dothan, AL on August 28, 1935. He proudly served the Navy for 10 years. Charles was married to Sandra for 57 years.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Sandra, 4 daughters; Patti Barfield, Barbara Jean Barfield, Vicki Barfield, Bera Leigh Miller (Michael), 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other family and friends, and Droopy.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents Bera Lee and Charles Barfield, his sister Audrey Davis, and daughter Ruth Ann.
