Carrie Louise Macarages, 91, passed away May 3, 2016 at home. Louise was born July 31, 1924 in Valdosta, GA to the late John and Carrie Crumbley. She worked for the Clerk of the Courts for 25 years. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church where she held several offices. Louise was a member of the auxiliary at Memorial Hospital for 20 years where she was a President of the auxiliary for 2 years. She was awarded the FRIST Humanitarian Award in 2007. She was active for many years in the Moose Lodge. Louise was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She had an active life and spent many hours giving to the community. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jack Macarages Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Terry); son, Buddy (Marilyn); 5 grandchildren, Lisa, Chris, Penny, Terry, and Timothy; and 5 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Amelia, Isabella, Abigail, and Caleb. Memorial Contributions may be made in Louise’s name to Heartland Hospice. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6:00-9:00pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2:00pm at Faith United Methodist Church, 4000 Spring Park Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32207. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
