Carolyn Sue (Ward) Crisp, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on June 23, 2022. Carolyn was born on September 11, 1953, in Hinton, West Virginia to parents Marianna (Williams) Ward and Edward Ward. In 1959, her family relocated to Jacksonville, FL. Carolyn found employment at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, where she spent many years until her retirement. She touched the hearts of many people and made many dear friends along the way.
Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Richard “Ricky” Ward and Larry Ward, and her sister Elizabeth (Ward) Roberts.
Carolyn is survived by her son Michael “Chris” Crisp and his wife Tara, her cherished granddaughters Sydney and Abby, her brother Dennis “Denny” Ward, nieces Brandi and Crystal, and nephew Michael.
Carolyn had a loving, kind, generous, warm soul. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 30, 2022, 12 pm, at Buckman Bridge Unitarian Universalist Church, 8447 Manresa Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32244.
