Carole Joyce Hart

Carole was born on March 8, 1940, in Wyandotte, MI, to parents, Rowena Agnes (Moore), and John Alexander Mascow. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed life and lived on her own terms. She loved to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh as well. She was never afraid to share a story with anyone willing to listen.

She is survived by her three children, Susan R. Hovis, Jacksonville, FL; Amy L. Barrow (Joe), Jacksonville, FL; and Michael R. Hovis (Bryan Welch), Concord, CA; grandchildren, Phillip A (PJ) Caruso II, and Julia L. Barrow; her sister, Judy Palamara, several nieces and nephews, and former husband Richard L. Hovis (Sandy). She was preceded in death by her husband, Atom K. Hart, her parents, and her brother, Jack Mascow.

A memorial service for Carole will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 SAN JOSE BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32207, followed by a reception.
