She touched so many lives during her 70 years and was loved by every person she met.
She was born in Jacksonville Florida on April 5, 1954.
Lynn educated at Southside Grammar and DuPont High school in the special education departments. At eighteen she started attending Pine Castle Sheltered Workshop until four years ago. While there her job was to wire Bellsouth telephone boxes and many other projects She was active in the History Club, the chorus, Civitan International and the Special Olympics.
Having Downs Syndrome never stopped Lynn from doing what she wanted to do.
Her mother took her bowling every Saturday where she was in a league for the handicapped. This led her to be in the Special Olympics many years. Winning numerous trophies and ribbons.
She traveled extensively from Main to California to Key West. Her favorite place, of course, was Disney World which she visited with her mother and sister every year.
Being an active member of Hendricks Ave Baptist church since a little girl, she helped with the children’s choir, missions and being an Acolyte. She loved working with the little children. A member of the Rainbow Connection Sunday school class.
Lynn was predeceased by her mother and father W. Nick and Mary G.Harper. She is survived by her sister and caregiver Mary Ann Corbett, a nephew Bobby Corbett (Stephanie), a niece Emily Zinsmeister (Todd) and their children Erin and Garrett Corbett and Nick Zinsmeister. Plus many family member and countless friends.
The family wishes to thank Community Hospice, Sonia Mcfarlin, her steadfast government advocate, Christi Matteson, her Sunday School teacher and Terry Garcia her “work sister” and supervisor at Pine Castle.
Lynn brought so much love and will be missed beyond measure.
