Beth Murphy

Beth (to those who knew and loved her) was born on September 20, 1959, in Rockmart, Georgia, the daughter of the late Alice Murphy, née Bowers. She spent most of her life in Florida.

After attending Judson College and graduating from Valdosta State University, she had a brief career as a teacher but found her true calling in the medical field. She spent the rest of her life caring for others professionally and personally. With her generous heart and kind spirit, to know her was to love her. Beth will be well remembered and deeply missed by many loved ones and friends who all brought her great joy.

Beth is survived by a daughter, Melinda Patterson; a brother, Michael Murphy; a sister, Christi Nickerson; two grandchildren, Bryce and Michael; and five nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Beth will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Ephrem Syriac Church, 4650 Kernan Blvd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32224, followed by a mass of christian burial from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM.
