Beth Davis Fabiano, beloved wife, mom, Gee-Gee, sister and aunt, age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and entered her Heavenly home on November 18, 2022. Beth was born in Monroe, NC, but lived the majority of her adult life in FL, in the Orlando area and the last 30 years in Jacksonville. She always had a beautiful smile and encouraging words for anyone she met. Beth’s loving nature and positive, carefree attitude, along with her radiant smile, made her a joy to be around. She was loved for her sweet and caring approach to life, and her thoughtfulness for those she encountered. She was truly as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside, and all those who knew her were lucky enough to see this beauty. Her husband always referred to her as “Beth, my wife, the best woman in the whole world (really)! Those that had the good fortune to know her would agree.”
She is survived by her husband John, her daughter and son-in-law Wendi and Kersten Schroeder, and three beautiful grandchildren, Braelyn, Mikey and Ayla, who loved her dearly, and whom she adored and were the light and love of her life. In addition, she is survived by her two brothers Rick Davis (Kay) and Joey Davis (Donna), and her sister Trish Johnson (Jimmy) along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mamie Tomberlin, her father, Marvin Davis, her sister and brother-in-law Wanda and Jerry Horne, a niece and a nephew, and also Wendi’s father, Mickey Troutman. While her family and friends grieve her loss on Earth, a joyous reunion occurred when she was reunited with those that preceded her in death.
For the past twelve years, Beth touched many lives in her role as a Licensed Family Service Advisor and Cemetery & Funeral Consultant at Dignity Memorial, Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery. While serving in this role, due to her caring heart and consoling nature, she made a lasting impression on many families as she helped them navigate through the process of losing a loved one. Beth always put others first, acting on many occasions as a caretaker to resolve difficult situations for others, even while she navigated her own challenges. As a result of Beth’s compassionate attitude and the number of families that she helped, she developed many lasting friendships while in her position at Greenlawn.
Beth’s family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, 4801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Legacy Lodge. Robin Giddens Sheppard will serve as celebrant of the services. In addition, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 2524 Stack Road, Monroe, NC on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. so that her family and friends in North Carolina can honor her life.
In lieu of flowers, for family and friends who wish to do so, donations in memory and honor of Beth may be made payable to the Beth Davis Fabiano Memorial Fund and mailed to PO Box 15623, Fernandina Beach, FL 32035. This fund will be used to purchase a memorial bench in remembrance of Beth, where loved ones will be able to visit. A down to earth, loving, and elegant woman, Beth is irreplaceable and shall be greatly missed.
