Bennie Lynn Melton

Melton, of Keystone Heights, Florida on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the age of 71 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 28 years, Jackie Melton, children: Kelli

Fontaine, Bryan Kinsey, step son Kenny Melton, and step daughter Karen Shillinglaw,

grandchildren: Casey Sebastian, Jasmine Neveau, Dylan Bloom, Hailey Melton, Tim Melton,

Caleb Melton, Gavin Melton, Dustin Scott, Edith Lynn, Breanna Kinsey; brothers: Michael

Bryant, David Bryant, sister: Debra Swain as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Bennie was born to Pete and Luise Bryant on March 5th,1950 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is

loved by many for her compassion, grace, and kind and giving spirit. Bennie never knew a

stranger and her warm presence and smile would instantly brighten a room. Other than her

relationship with the church, her family meant everything to her. She was the kind of person who

would do anything in her power to help you with whatever you needed and often put the needs

of others above her own.

Bennie was passionate about her relationship with God and grew up attending Sunday school

and worship at Westside Baptist Church. She lived her life for Jesus and was a role model to all

who knew her. When not with family or at church events, Bennie was sharing her love through

her breathtaking crafts. Anytime you received a handmade blanket or scrapbook, you could

instantly tell how much love and thought she put into it. She also cooked the most amazing

dishes, as one would expect from a perfect and sweet grandmother. She was the definition of

unconditional love.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, beginning at 1:00pm, followed by

memorial services at 2:00 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home & Riverside Memorial

Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.

A visitation for Bennie will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A graveside service will occur Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
