Barbara Jean Larson

Barbara Jean Larson, age 85, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born March 28, 1937 to Stanley Rackliff and Dorothy Turner. Barbara was formerly of Camden County, GA. She enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, loving caring for others and was a much loved person. Barbara also loved the Lord and going to church.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Larson; brother, Harold Rackliff; and her brothers Earl and Roy Rackliff. She is survived by her children Barbara Pelletier (James) and Lawton Smith (Cindy); grandchildren Brandi McLeod, Jake Smith (Brittany) , and Ansley Smith (Cody) ; great-grandchildren Truitt Smith, Laney Cate Smith, Devin Dresselhaus, Remi McMillan; and brothers and sisters Walter Rackliff, Mary Jane Sedlak, Phyllis Corbin, Esther Rackliff, Rita Rackliff, Sarah Rackliff, Corine Hagan, and Claude Rackliff.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. A committal service will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
