WHITMAN, ARTHUR HERMAN, 78, of Jacksonville, Florida, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday September 19, 2016. He was born May 30, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Jack and Rae Whitman. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Hope Whitman. He was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn (Sandy) Reiburn. He was a devoted father of two sons David (Deanna) Whitman, Jeffrey Whitman; 3 daughters Rhonda (Ronnie) Walker, Pamela (David) Mullis and Denise (Noel) Echavarria; 11 grandchildren (with one on the way); 6 great grandchildren; and one niece Ronni Reiburn (Marisa & Austin). He served in the US Army, was a volunteer firefighter in New York, a Long Beach New York Police Officer and later a Metro Dade County Police Officer. After all of this he made his career as a Surety Agent (Bail bondsman) for 40 + years in South Florida, until his recent retirement.
