Armando lived a very colorful life after leaving his home in Havana, Cuba in 1959 during the Cuban revolution, to start his new life in America. After leaving Cuba with the Peter Pan movement, he later accompanied his father in Nicaragua where the family tobacco business was restarted after leaving their farm in Pinar del rio, Cuba. It was there where he met his wife Silvia and they had their first two sons in Central America. Once he decided to leave Nicaragua, during what would become the second revolution of his lifetime, he returned to Florida where he had his other children and ultimately established his family in Jacksonville. Armando was well known for his hard work ethic and loyalty to his family. He went on to develop and start many of the family businesses, including Pulido’s automotive, Havana-Jax café and several of the medical offices for his brothers and sons, all of which are successfully still operating today, several decades later. Everyone always agreed that his most memorable feature was his ability for storytelling as well as sharing jokes and a good laugh. He will be dearly missed by both his family and friends.
