He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Black and their 5 fur babies- Julius, Madeleine, Isabell, Patches and Shadow. His mother, Nancy Pearson Black, and sisters Cynthia Leatherwood, and Cheri Craft live outside of Atlanta with their respective families.
Anthony graduated from FSCJ with two Associates Degrees in Computer Technology. He served in the Navy and was stationed in Diego Garcia. He loved the creeks of Jacksonville- having explored the extensively by jon boat, Carolina skiff, kayak and canoe. Those fortunate enough to follow his Facebook postings under Waterpickers, knew that he often went out picking out the garbage that collects in our creeks and rivers. It was a true labor of love and he wanted to start a non-profit to help organize people to go out and do the same. He loved ice cream, movies and all things sci fi.
A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Cathedral on February 24 at 11 am and is open to his friends and family.
Arrangements entrusted to Hardage Giddens Oaklawn Chapel 4801 San Jose Blvd. Jax. Fl. 32207.
