Anne Marie Gardner (nee Ryan) passed away December 24th, 2023. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 26, 1939, daughter of the late William Ryan and Elsie Bozman.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John O. Gardner Jr, her sister Betty Runk, and her brother Charles Skipper. Surviving are daughters Susan Gardner Riel, Molly Gardner, Lisa Gardner, Sarah Griffith (William), son John Gardner III (Jennifer), 10 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Anne was a long time nanny, as she loved children. She was a great wife, mother, and homemaker. She retired with her husband to Jacksonville, FL in 2004. Anne was active in church her whole life. She was a giver, and was a friend to many.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20th at Deermeadows Baptist Church, 9780 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
