GIBSON: Anna Elizabeth Gibson, 90, passed away February 20, 2012 peacefully in her sleep after a long
battle with COPD. She was born to Joseph and Sarah Miller in Providence, Rhode Island but lived most of
her life in Jacksonville. She retired from Hertz Rent-a-car. She loved playing Bingo, watching game
shows, being a “soccer Grandmother” and collected lighthouses as a hobby. Survivors include
daughter/granddaughter, Kynda Hancock (Doug), Children: Gloria Varney, Beverly Lester, Earl (Sonny)
Roberts, Joseph Roberts (Juanita), Peter Paquin, step-daughter, Catherine Cook (David), Grandchildren:
Michelle (Alan), Tammi, Heather (Steve), David (Helen), Kevin (Caitlin), Michelle, Joey, Step-
granddaughters: Linda, Debbie, Marie. 16 Great-grand-children: Blake, Brittny (Zach), Derek, Danielle,
Brooklynn, Kayla, Gage, Landon, James, MaKayla, Michael, David, Zoey, Ricky, Austin, Devin, 3 Great-
reat Grandchildren: Bryan, Nath, Isabella and her loving dog who was always at her side, Victory. Many
thanks go out to Cypress Village for engaging her in rehabilitation to strengthen her, provide endurance
and give her a better chance at a quality of life. Her friends she met will always be near and dear to her
heart. Community Hospice provided supportive help throughout her last few days of life and without her
live in caregivers, Dan and Ramona King, bringing her home to spend the last few days with family would
not have been possible. Graveside Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 25th, at
