Embraced in the loving arms of Christ August 1, 2020.
An artist of every medium, whether with raised paintbrush or sweet soprano, Anita found inspiration in her greatest loves: Her/Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, beloved husband Robert C. Ryle, and all of her cherished family and friends.
Amidst the Great Depression, Anita Davis Gullion was born into a family flourishing with a spirit of generosity. This spirit of generosity was never lost on her though she was soon to become the middle child of nine. Oh, how she loved her brothers and sisters! Her elder sister Helen and brother Emery among her most beloved. The farm girl quickly blossomed into “the prettiest girl in Gallatin County” and was married to the besotted Robert C. “Papaw” Ryle, WWII Army Air Corpsman. The couple was blessed with two devoted daughters, Sandra Lee Brimer and Bobbie Ann Todd. Meanwhile, Mr. Ryle’s love of Christ and entrepreneurial spirit took hold and Mrs. Ryle kept busy tending the children and mending the hands’ of the husband who faithfully built churches and businesses.
Among those mourning the loss of her earthly presence are her daughters Sandra and Bobbie, her son-in-law Larry, six grandchildren Rebecca Asher, Robert Scott Noel, Casey Todd, Troy S. Todd, Joshua F. Todd, and Carrie Anita Ghiotti , a sister, Margie L Greene, fifteen great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
While together we mourn our matriarch, our Nee Nee, we also rejoice in her heavenly arrival and reunification with her beloved husband, Robert C. Ryle. A father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who is still sorely missed.
A visitation will be held Wednesday August 05, 2020 from 5-7pm at Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home located 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville FL 32205. Anita's Graveside service will be held Thursday August 06, 2020 at 11am at Riverside Memorial Park on the North side of Normandy Boulevard.
