Albert Eugene Smith, age 81 years old, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away on March 6, 2023. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on July 17, 1941 to Oliver Eugene Smith and Georgia May Norris.
He joined the United States Army in 1961 and after that worked for OE Smith Son’s for more than 40 years. Albert was a family man, who enjoyed anything that involved gathering with family and was a big Florida Gator Fan.
He is survived by this wife of 39 years, Patricia Smith; sister, Alice Hygema; sons, Joel Mathis, Sr. and Scott Mathis; also 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Eugene Smith and Georgia May Smith; brother, George Oliver Smith and son, Danny Lamar Mathis, Sr.
