Robert Ustick Green passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in Jacksonville Beach, FL. He was born on April 12 1924 in Casper, WY. Bob was a World War II veteran serving in the US Army Air Corps as a radio operating and gunner in a B-17 Flying Fortress.
After attending Colorado University in Boulder, Bob joined the State Department Foreign Service. He was stationed in Germany, where he met his wife Mary Eileen Tyler. During his career in the Foreign Service, Bob was stationed in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Nigeria, and in Washington DC. Bob retired in 1983 and moved to Jacksonville, FL. He spent the final years of his life at Fleet Landing in Atlantic Beach, FL.
Bob is preceded by his wife, Mary Eileen Green, his sister Ruth Frye (Bill Frye) and brother-in-law Roy Black. He is survived by his brother, Custus Green (Annette), Bill Frye, his sister Virginia Black, his daughter Susan Mead (Larry), and his grandchildren James (Natalie), Michael and Kathleen.
