Rhonda Hart, age 58, passed away unexpectedly in her home on January 21st, 2024. Rhonda was born in Waukegan, IL to her beautiful late mother, Gloria Karl, in 1966 and raised with her only brother Brian Troy. She is survived by her two children, Paige and Colin.
Rhonda was a force to be reckoned with. She was strong, fierce, bold, and above all else, kind and caring. She was the type of woman who wouldn’t hesitate to give you the shirt off her back (and most likely turn it into a personalized blanket). She loved to celebrate others and took joy in finding out just what would make you the most happy. She was the life of the party and worked tirelessly to make sure everyone was having a good time.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends, especially her best friend, Michael Karner. Affectionately known as Mr. Mike, Rhonda and Mike shared a strong friendship that was love in every sense of the word. They shared a love of spending time at the beach and enjoyed going on adventures together. They held each other up through difficult times and were there to celebrate the beauty of life together. Their bond was obvious to all that met them and Mike always held a special place in her heart.
Most of all Rhonda shared a strong and meaningful relationship with her daughter, Paige. Nothing could light Rhonda up more than sharing a picture or story of her recent travels. Recently Paige had moved to Denver, CO and they were able to create a stronger bond and visit each other often, usually with a huge suitcase of snacks in tow. They loved each other very much and will always be the dynamic duo, The Mama and Little Paheenah.
While having a different relationship with her son, Colin, Rhonda loved him just as much. Her first born son shares the same kind, intense blue eyes. Rhonda loved supporting Colin’s new hobbies and frequently hosting gatherings for him and his friends. He was often in her thoughts and truly wished for him to live a long and happy life.
Rhonda will be greatly missed by her children and her close friends. She will live on in their memories and be regarded fondly. Whenever missing her, a passing butterfly will always put a smile on the face of those who knew her best. May she rest happily.
