Maria Teresa Flores, age 73, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. She was born in Edinburg, TX and graduated from Edinburg High School. She married Roberto Flores on October 6, 1969.
Maria had a career in Pre-K Child Education at several local schools including First Baptist Church Jacksonville Beach, the Little Red Schoolhouse, and St. Paul's Catholic Church. She had a passion for teaching, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, Roberto and children, Aaron Flores and Lorena Flores-Barie; grandchildren, Selena Katelynn Wood, Samantha Rachel Flores, Zoe Danielle Flores and Aaron Joseph Flores; siblings, Jane Gamboa, Lydia Salazar, Mary Salazar, Benny Salazar, Joe Salazar, Baldemar Salazar, Jesse Salazar, and David Salazar; and her 99-year old mother, Eluteria Salazar.
A visitation for Maria will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens, 1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
