Blake N. Hoffman, 23, passed away suddenly on May 4, 2016. Big Blake was born in Jacksonville to Paul and Lara Hoffman. He grew up in Atlantic Beach with his sister Christin and brother Patrick. Blake attended Atlantic Beach Elementary, St. Paul’s Catholic School and graduated from Bishop Kenny in 2010.
Blake was a big man with a huge heart. He enjoyed traveling to California, Colorado and Cape Cod, and enjoyed collecting modern art and paintings. He loved art, animals and aliens. His greatest gift was his unfailing ability to make friendships wherever he went. Blake’s kind heart, quick wit and generous personality connected with a large, eclectic group of friends he cared deeply about.
A devoted brother and son, he leaves behind his grandparents Fran Brittingham, Phil and Sheila Hoffman; his parents Lara and Paul; his sister Christin and brother Patrick; his stepmother Karin and stepbrother Jack Tucker; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A viewing and celebration of Blake’s life will take place on May 9, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens, 1701 Beach Blvd. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Jacksonville Beach, on May 10 at 11:00 a.m.
