Mrs. Wynnie was born on July 28, 1934 to the late Wynn Robertson and Clara Smith Robertson in the Huntersville community of Madison County. She was a longtime nurse that worked with Jackson-Madison County General Hosptial and UT Family Practice and was a former State President of the American Legion Auxiliary. It was very important to her to visit all 50 states in her lifetime and she accomplished that goal. Wynnie was an avid Ole Miss, University of Tennessee, and St. Louis Cardinals fan. She and her late husband were members of First Baptist Church of McKenzie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Robertson.
She is survived by her daughter, Teri Robertson Stansell of Jackson; her grandchildren, Rick Stansell, Chad Smith, Shane Frazier, Mandy Stansell, and Michael Stansell; her great grandchildren, Mason Smith, Lori Gross, Morgan Stansell, Brandon Frazier, Kaylen Wilson, Jackson Stansell, Wesley Wilson, Addie Smith, and Judd Stansell; and her great great grandchildren, Elora Gross, Dixie Frazier, Natalie Smith and Foster Smith.
A service to celebrate the life of Wynnie Robertson will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service. The graveside service will be held that same afternoon at 1 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie, TN.
