Valerie Nicole Lyons, age 13, of Medina, TN, passed away on February 17, 2014.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Englewood Baptist Church with burial to follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Valerie was born on May 15, 2000 to Kelly McMillen Lyons Nelson and Justin Lyons. She was a student at Medina Middle School.
She is survived by her parents, Kelly McMillen Lyons Nelson and Justin L. Lyons; her step-father, Matt Nelson. She is also survived by her brother, Mathew Lyons of Medina, TN; step sister, Ashtyn Nelson of Milan, TN; grandparents, Bill and Loran McMillen of Jackson, TN, Donald and Leacinda Lyons of Dyer, TN; aunts, Brittany McMillen of Atlanta, GA and Summer L. Lyons of Jackson, TN.
The family has requested that visitation at the funeral home on Thursday evening will be for family and close friends only.
