He graduated from Jackson Central Merry High School and The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He was the Senior Supply Chain Manager at Checkers/ Rally`s, Inc. in Tampa, Florida. Previously at Captain D's and Shoney's in Nashville, TN, he was a Purchasing and Research and Development Director. He was an outstanding chef, enjoyed dancing, and loved Tennessee football! Sammy's cheerful demeanor and positive attitude will be greatly missed by his family, friends and colleagues.
He is survived by his mother, Joanne Bergel Goldstein, his children, Christopher Bergeron (Teresa) of Evans, GA and Jonathon Bergeron of Franklin, TN; three grandchildren, Olivia, Oliver and Jameson Bergeron, his brother David Goldstein of Essexville, MI, two sisters, Pat Goldstein of Memphis, TN and, Jill Patton (John) of Olive Branch, MS; and neices and nephews, Lauren Schook( Karl), Josh Goldstein (Becky), Allison Mayden (Brett), Chris, Cayce, Tyler and Taylor Brasel.
Visitation will be held Sunday December 2, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home 2812 N Highland Ave, Jackson TN. A celebration of Sammy's life will be held on Monday, December 3, 11:00 a.m. at Congregation B’nai Israel 401 W Grand St. Jackson, TN.
