When I accepted a teaching position at SSHS, I had no idea the blessing I would receive in meeting Bob Gordon.  As an RN, I was extremely out of my element as a new teacher.  I was eating lunch in my classroom when Bob invited me to eat with the other teachers.  I agreed and a friendship began that I will always cherish.  Bob was a constant source of joy and laughter.  If you were in his presence, you were going to be laughing.   He frequently spoke of Becky, Kris, Ben, their wives, and his precious grandchildren.  He was a family man, a wonderful mentor to the students, was extremely hard working, and modeled so many amazing traits.  He gave me parenting advice and words of wisdom that I will never forget.  I am so grateful for the days I spent as his friend and co-worker at SSHS.  We had the best time and memories I will always cherish.
     He was one in a million and I am so thankful for the time I had in his presence.  
     My deepest condolences to Becky, Kris, Ben, and all of his precious family.

My sincere condolences to Aunt Pat, Barbara Jean, Becky Lynn, and Big Bill. My entire life since birth has included all of them in some way. I am praying for those who loved him and asking the Lord for comfort to ease the impact of such a huge loss of one so young. -Michael Briley

Sending prayers for family of Bob Gordon 🙏 He always had a smile on his face when I saw him at SSHS.  (former bus driver). He made a great impact on my grandson.  Kaden Harris loved Mr Bob and is very sad he is gone 💔

Bob was the life of the party. He always had a grin on his face. Where you heard laughter, you found Bob in the middle of it. 
Bob and his business partner built my house 25 years ago. Every time we spoke on the  phone, I would say "It's so good to hear your voice!". That became our greeting to each other from then on. 
This fun living husband,  father, grandfather, brother and friend will be missed here on earth. ,But heaven gained a comedian and he has them all rolling.

I have a lot of fond memories growing up around the whole Gordon family.  When I think about Bob the first memory I have is standing at morning drop off at Malesus with his nephew Thomas.  We were patrol boys.  Bob would pull up in a red ford truck to drop Ben and Kris off at school.  He would run up on the curb and aim for Thomas and me like he was going to run over us.  The whole time with a big smile, and that’s how I will remember him always smiling.

Grief never ends... but it changes.             
 It's a passage, not a place to stay. 
Grief is not a sign of weakness,                    or a lack of faith...
It is the Price of   Love.
