He was born May 7, 1992 in Jackson to John and Lisa Lindsey. He was a 2010 graduate of South Side High School and a 2016 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Wildlife Biology. He was a member of the baseball team at South Side High School for 4 years. Trey was a Christian who was not afraid to let it be known and he was a member of Malesus Baptist Church. Trey was an avid outdoorsman who njoyed hunting and fishing. Trey had a special talent for taxidermy work which he shared with his "Little Paw Paw". He was intelligent, hard working, loving son and brother, and a steadfast friend. Trey was a proud big brother who served as a great example, mentor, friend, and rock for his younger siblings. He will be remembered for his ability to make those around him laugh and feel loved with his humor, dancing, & wit.
He is survived by his parents, John and Lisa Lindsey of Medon; brother, Will Lindsey (fiance Andrea Richardson) of Medon; sister, Taylor Lindsey of Medon; paternal grandmother, Vicki Lindsey "Little Maw Maw"; paternal grandfather, Don Lindsey (Bonnie); maternal grandparents, Phillip Barnett "Little Pawpaw" (Frances) and Mary Escue (Tommy); Great Grandmother, Robbie Aday "Big Maw Maw" (the late George Aday); Uncles, Clint Lindsey, Greg Holt, Brent Holt, Andy England, Shane England, Chris Escue; Aunts, Donna Sadler, Felina Barnett, Teresa Kress, Kristie Henley; his special girlfriend, Quanah Allen; cousins Andrew, Ryan, & Christian Lindsey, Tyler Mills & Tiffany Nichelson with whom he shared special bonds and many more special cousins he held dear to his heart.
Funeral services for Trey will be Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 3 p.m. at East Union Baptist Church with Bro. Shane England and Bro. Mark McSwain officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Malesus with Bro. Mark Cagle officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. At East Union Baptist Church, five hours prior to the service.
Pallbearers to serve include Kaleb Richardson, Andrew "Opie" Rutherford, Hunter Spencer, Mikey Arnett, Clayton Yarbro, & Brant Luker.
Trey's senior teammates from the 2010 South Side baseball team are requested to serve as honorary pallbearers.
